Honors like the Gold Glove, Platinum Glove and Silver Slugger are annual occurrences and mean different things to different players. For some, it represents the pinnacle of a career of improvement and work, as it was for Seattle Mariners infielder Dylan Moore, who earned the first utility Gold Glove award in franchise history. For others, it can represent being viewed as one of the best players in the majors. Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh won the American League's Platinum Glove award, which is handed out to the best defensive player in the American and National Leagues, respectively. And for a select few, those awards are the ultimate resume

CHC11/14 4:00 PM Miguel Amaya (C-CHC) Chicago Cubs Linked To Power-Hitting Veteran Catcher in MLB Free Agency. As the Chicago Cubs get set to try to improve this offseason, one position they have been consistently predicted to try to upgrade is catcher. While bringing a superstar behind the plate probably isn't possible given who's available, at the very least Chicago is expected to acquire someone who can platoon with Miguel Amaya. The youngster played 117 games in his first full season in the big leagues and hit for a .232 batting average with eight home runs, 47 RBI, and an OPS of .644. It wasn't a bad year for Amaya by any means, but upgrading the position is certainly in the cards.

MIL11/14 4:00 PM Willy Adames (SS-MIL) San Francisco Giants Face Three Huge Threats to Top Free-Agent Target. The San Francisco Giants have been viewed as a suitor for Willy Adames over the past few months. On paper, the right-handed hitting shortstop would be an excellent fit for the Giants. The expectation around Major League Baseball is that the 29-year-old will get a long-term deal that could exceed $150 million. It'd be a fair price for Adames, but there's more to it than just his potential contract.

The Boston Red Sox are the fourth most likely team to land the hottest free agent on the market, Juan Soto, per MLB insider Jon Heyman. The other teams ahead of them in order include the New York Yankees, the New York Mets, and the Toronto Blue Jays. “I think (John Henry is) back in the game now, so I think the Red Sox are in play for Soto.”

Former Nippon Professional Baseball stars Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto were a big part of their championship season. The Dodgers are expected to pursue another Japanese phenom in Roki Sasaki, but the San Diego Padres could get in the way. During a Bleacher Report livestream, Major League Baseball insider, Jon Heyman revealed that the Dodgers are a "heavy favorite" to land Sasaki, but the San Diego Padres could threaten them as Sasaki's next team.
