10/29/24 Former Cleveland Guardians Pitcher Wants To Continue Pitching In MLB. Carlos Carrasco had reached that point even before being traded to the New York Mets in 2021, but he ingrained himself even further in the city's lore when he returned to the Cleveland Guardians for the 2024 season. Outside of a few stints on the injury list, Cookie was part of Cleveland's rotation until the end of the season, when the Guardians designated him for assignment. With Carrasco being 37 years old, there were some serious questions about whether he would continue pitching in the big leagues or if the former Cy Young candidate would call it a career. It appears Cookie plans to hold off on returning and pitch in the majors for a few more seasons.

10/12/24 Are veteran starters saying goodbye to Guardians with ceremonial first pitch? Hey, Hoynsie!. Do you have a Guardians question that you'd like to have answered in Hey, Hoynsie? Hey, Hoynsie: Will Saturday's ceremonial first pitch from Carlos Carrasco to Shane Bieber be the last time we see either of them in a Cleveland uniform? Hey, Greg: Joe Noga and I were talking about that on our Friday podcast. Bieber definitely wants to pitch again as soon as he's done rehabbing his surgically repaired right elbow.

8/09/24 Twins' Joe Ryan dealt brutal injury update. The Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians are set to play a double-header on Friday. Both teams made impactful roster moves before the games, as Cleveland placed starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco on the 15-day IL. The Twins later announced an injury move of their own, as starting pitcher Joe Ryan is also being placed on the 15-day IL, per Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com. It does not appear that it will be a standard two-week or so stay on the injured list for Ryan, however.

Here are three observations and takeaways from the Guardians' latest victory.
