PITTSBURGH (KLTV) - Former Jasper Bulldog John McMillon likely saw his season come to an early end after leaving the game with elbow tightness after facing one batter Wednesday in Pittsburgh. The righthander entered the game for the Miami Marlins in the third inning and gave up a single to Nick Gonzales. His manager and trainer then came to the mound and McMillon was pulled from the game. According to MLB.com, McMillon had elbow tightness. McMillon had not been placed on the injured list as of 1 p.m. Thursday. Miami lost to Pittsburgh, 3-1, and fell to 54-92. | 8/05/24 | Jasper's McMillon claimed off waivers by Miami. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (KTRE) - Former Jasper Bulldog John McMillon was claimed off waivers by the Miami Marlins on Friday. McMillon was designated for assignment by the Royals on July 30. The Marlins picked up McMillon on Friday and he was activated by their Triple-A affiliate, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. McMillon had a 5-2 record with the Omaha Storm Chasers. McMillon had a 6.53 ERA in 30.1 innings pitched, with 35 strikeouts and 26 walks.
