11/14/24 | 10 to Watch: Patriots Return Home to Gillette Stadium to Face Rams. Kyren Williams: The 2022 5th-round pick had a breakout year in 2023, rushing for 1,144 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns, leading the NFL in rushing yards per game (95.3). The Rams rushing offense has been mostly stagnant this season, ranking 26th in yards, 31st in yards-per-attempt and 18th in DVOA, but Williams is an effective running back, especially in the red zone, who will gash the Patriots if they don't bring similar effort to what they demonstrated last week against the Bears. 11/13/24 | Sean McVay's latest Rams comments won't please fantasy football players. After stringing together four-straight games with at least 20 rushing attempts after a slow start to the 2024 NFL season, Kyren Williams was barely utilized in Week 10, confusingly rushing the ball just 15 times in a game where the Los Angeles Rams couldn't get much going consistently on the ground. Why did the Rams opt to run the ball just 18 times against a team that has allowed at least 100 rushing yards in six of their nine games this season? While fans may never know either way, considering the Patriots' defense is the 10th-worst run defense in the NFL, business should at least be picking up for Williams in Week 11, right? Well, reporters asked McVay that question on Wednesday and he took what should have been a layup and turned it into an answer that should worry fans with any stake in the game.
