| 9/25/24 | Royals' Lorenzen exits early with body fatigue. Lorenzen (left hamstring) was activated pregame from the 15-day IL to make his first start since Aug. 27. The Royals said Lorenzen was removed from the game "as a precaution." Lorenzen retired seven batters, striking out two, and did not allow a hit in 28 pitches. | 6/07/24 | Daniel Lynch IV, Royals seek to subdue surging Mariners. It's been an up-and-down season for Kansas City's Daniel Lynch IV. Lynch (0-0, 1.50 ERA) is scheduled to start Friday night when the Royals open a three-game series with the visiting Seattle Mariners, who have won nine of their past 11 games. Lynch most recently pitched May 30 at Minnesota, making an emergency start after Brady Singer was scratched because of an illness.
