| 8/21/24 | Top Red Sox prospect's first Triple-A HR goes 415 feet (108.1 mph off bat). Roman Anthony belted his first Triple-A homer in Worcester 's 8-5 road win against Norfolk on Tuesday. Anthony, who Baseball America ranks No. 18 on its Top 100 list , went 4-for-5 with a homer, double, three RBIs and four runs out of the leadoff spot. The 20-year-old center fielder's home run traveled 415 feet and left his bat at 108.1 mph. It was a left-vs.-left matchup. The left-handed hitter took an 81.3 mph slider from Norfolk southpaw Bruce Zimmermann and sent it to right field. Anthony will face more pitchers with major league experience in Triple A. The 29-year-old Zimmermann has appeared in 38 major league games and made 27 starts for Baltimore over the past four seasons.
