| 6/02/24 | Marlins place RHP Sanchez (shoulder) on IL. The Miami Marlins placed right-hander Sixto Sanchez on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to right shoulder inflammation. In a corresponding move, the Marlins recalled rookie right-hander Emmanuel Ramirez from Triple-A Jacksonville. Sanchez, 25, has a history of shoulder injuries, including two surgeries that caused him to miss three seasons from 2021-23. Highly touted rookie right-hander Sixto Sanchez will get his chance to join the ever-expanding shutout club for the Miami Marlins on Saturday night when he starts against the Arizona Diamondbacks for the first time in his career. Miami pitchers have combined to throw five shutouts over the team's last nine games, including a four-hit gem by left-hander Braxton Garrett in Friday night's series-opening 3-0 win over Arizona.
