After being designated for assignment by the Texas Rangers last week, the 38-year-old reliever who started his MLB career with the Yankees elected minor league free agency after going unclaimed on outright waivers, according to the transaction tracker at MLB.com . Kennedy was selected 21st overall in the 2006 MLB Draft by the Yankees, for whom he made his big-league debut a year later. Bradford is not on the 40 man roster, but there is an open spot on the 40 due to Ian Kennedy being designated for assignment. This would be Dane Dunning's spot in the rotation, but he has been announced as Tuesday's starter, with Nathan Eovaldi starting on Wednesday, and then an off day on Thursday.
