9/04/23	Tigers lose one reliever on waivers, drop another from 40-man roster. Bennett Sousa's tenure with the Detroit Tigers lasted three days and didn't include an appearance at any level. Sousa was claimed off waivers by the Houston Astros on Sunday. The 28-year-old left-hander was claimed by the Tigers off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers on Aug. 29 , optioned to Triple-A Toledo, then designated for assignment on Sept. 1 when the Tigers needed to create another 40-man roster spot. Sousa was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 10th round out of the University of Virginia in 2018. He made his big-league debut last season, going 3-0 with an 8.41 ERA in 20 1/3 innings of work.
