6/06/24 Pirates sign left-handed reliever Justin Bruihl in hopes of solidifying sometimes shaky bullpen. Justin Bruihl is hoping to hit the reset button with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The left-handed reliever joined the Pirates on Thursday, less than a week after opting out of his minor league deal with the Cincinnati Reds. The 26-year-old Bruihl pitched well at Triple-A Louisville, going 4-0 with a 2.31 ERA in 19 appearances. The Pirates made him an offer the next morning and by Thursday afternoon he was on Pittsburgh's major league roster and available for the series finale against his former team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

1/17/24 2023 Los Angeles Dodgers Player Reviews: Justin Bruihl. Justin Bruihl played a solid part to the Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen for multiple years prior to being traded to the Colorado Rockies at the deadline last season. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts credited Bruihl with how solid he performed for the staff despite often being shuttled to and from Triple-A Oklahoma City. A roster crunch forced the Dodgers to capitalize on Bruihl's solid stretch leading up to the All-Star break and it resulted in trading him to the Rockies for cash considerations. In 15 games with Oklahoma City, Bruihl went 5-2 with a 2.04 ERA and one save.

12/22/23 2023 Dodgers in review: Justin Bruihl. Justin Bruihl was one of the relievers that first appeared pell-mell at the conclusion of the 2021 regular season. For the past two seasons, Bruihl bounced back and forth between Triple-A Oklahoma City and Los Angeles. Bruihl did not start the year with the major league club as Alex Vesia and Caleb Ferguson filled out the left-handed contingent of the bullpen. While at Oklahoma City, Bruihl appeared in 15 games with a 5-2 record, a 2.04 ERA, and 17 strikeouts over 17? innings.

8/20/23 No sweep for Rockies as bullpen implodes in loss to White Sox. Sunday afternoon, the Rockies were on track for just their second three-game sweep of the season. Chicago teed off on relievers Matt Koch, Justin Bruihl and Justin Lawrence in a seven-run inning to pocket a 10-5 win. Koch gave up four runs on three hits and a walk. Bruihl, a left-hander, came in and intentionally walked Yasmani Grandal to load the bases so that he could face lefty Oscar Colas.

8/08/23 Colorado Rockies GM Bill Schmidt establishes direction, philosophy at MLB trade deadline. Having already broken down the moves that brough Jake Madden, Mason Albright, Tanner Gordon, and Connor Van Scoyoc into the system, I focus on the specifics of the acquisitions of Alec Barger and Justin Bruihl out of the Los Angeles Dodgers system. How did they do overall when you combine each of these moves together and look at them wholistically?

7/03/23 Justin Bruihl Providing Value To Dodgers Bullpen. With plenty of roster shuffling throughout the season thus far, Justin Bruihl has been among the several members used out of a the Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen that's worked to generate some consistency. Such was the case again on Saturday, when Bruihl was sent to OKC as the corresponding move to Julio Urías getting activated off the 15-day injured list. “Can't say enough about him, how he's handled the elevator and not let it affect performance,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts recently said about the lefty reliever. The change in sequencing hasn't gone as planned, and Bruihl is allowing a 45% hard-hit rate.
