| 4/11/24 | Guardians trade for reliever, move Bieber to 60-day injured list. The Guardians acquired right-handed reliever Wes Parsons from Toronto on Wednesday in exchange for $250,000 in international bonus pool money, the club announced. Parsons, 31, was immediately optioned to Triple-A Columbus. In a corresponding move, Cleveland placed starting pitcher Shane Bieber on the 60-day injured list in order to open a spot on the 40-man roster for Parsons. | 4/10/24 | Blue Jays trade pitcher to Cleveland Guardians. The Toronto Blue Jays have pulled the trigger on a minor trade. Right-handed relief pitcher Wes Parsons is on his way to Cleveland, with the Blue Jays picking up international signing bonus pool space from the Guardians in return. Parsons, 31, has spent most of his pro career in the minors. After appearing in just one game for the Blue Jays last season, and none at the Major League level prior to that since 2019, he was a surprise addition to their opening day roster.
