| 8/09/25 | Rays' Mason Englert wins epic 17-pitch at-bat vs. JP Crawford. The Tampa Bay Rays couldn't slow down the red-hot Seattle Mariners on Saturday night, falling 7-4 at T-Mobile Park, but one of the game's most memorable moments came in a rare pitcher-batter duel that had the crowd buzzing. In the top of the sixth inning, Rays reliever Mason Englert faced Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford in what turned into a marathon 17-pitch at-bat — tied for the longest by a Seattle hitter since pitch tracking began in 1988. Crawford fouled off 12 pitches in the battle before finally popping out to shortstop, drawing a standing ovation from the home crowd despite the out.
