8/26/25 White Sox's Martin Perez makes dreaded MLB history after Chicago squanders great outing. On Tuesday night, Martin Perez gave the Chicago White Sox everything they could have hoped for — and more. Instead of earning a well-deserved win, Perez made unwanted MLB pitching history. Despite his efficient outing, he was handed a no-decision after Chicago's relief corps unraveled in the final two innings. According to OptaSTATS, who posted the milestone to X (formerly known as Twitter), the southpaw made unfortunate MLB history.

8/13/25 White Sox' Martin Perez shakes off nerves in return from IL. White Sox left-hander Martin Perez's major-league future was up in the air as he walked off the mound April 18 against the Red Sox with a left flexor strain. Once he got that opinion, Perez started mapping out his return. “Every day was a race for me,” Perez said. Perez (1-2, 3.09 ERA) finally returned in the 1-0 loss to the Tigers on Wednesday.

7/28/25 Starter Martin Perez close to completing 'amazing' comeback to White Sox rotation. If not for his early spring elbow injury, there's a good chance Martin Perez would've been among the White Sox players floated in trade talks as the end of July approaches. Instead, Perez is gearing up to return to the Sox' rotation after more than three months on the shelf — and just in the nick of time as the team scrambles to cover innings over the final two months of the season.

5/02/25 Estimating 10 to 12 weeks of recovery, Martin Perez looking forward to still impacting White Sox. The White Sox will be without left-hander Martin Perez's pitching services for a while, but he's hoping he still will be able to provide plenty for them. Perez estimated Friday an absence of 10 to 12 weeks while he recovers from a strained left flexor, an injury that landed him on the 60-day injured list. ''I don't want to be just watching games in the dugout and not doing my job,'' Perez said. ''It's something I will always have in mind every day when I come here: 'What am I going to do after I finish with my workout that day?' I'm going to try to be in the bullpen, talking with the guys, talking with the starters, trying to tell them something so they can get better, that can help them to be a better person or a better player. ''Having him here is like having another coach,'' manager Will Venable said. ''Probably better than another coach, right?

4/29/25 White Sox lose 7-2 to Brewers. The White Sox' lack of pitching depth hurt them in Tuesday's 7-2 loss to the Brewers. In what was essentially a bullpen game for the Sox who had to navigate left-hander Martin Perez's turn in the rotation. Opener Tyler Gilbert and Bryse Wilson did well to mitigate the damage, holding the Brewers to one run over five innings. Joey Ortiz singled, and after a flyout by Jackson Chourio, Ortiz stole second base to get into scoring position.

4/27/25 Bullpen providing bulk for White Sox' shorthanded pitching staff. The White Sox' bullpen ERA entering Sunday of 4.53 might not be impressive, but the relievers have filled a lot of innings for the team. It has been all hands on deck for the Sox as they navigate abbreviated outings from their young starters and veteran Martin Perez's season-ending forearm strain. Entering Sunday, left-hander Cam Booser had a 3.72 ERA. Right-hander Jordan Leasure had allowed three earned runs in his last seven appearances, and left-hander Jared Shuster has been a nice weapon.

4/24/25 How to Build A Young Rotation And Make It Last. The White Sox have got to be looking at the Nats' rotation right now going 'here's what we COULD be'. Cause if their rotation can be hindered by Martin Perez going down with an injury, they need to be taking notes. Right now, the Washington Nationals, in their moment of patheticness as they wait for James Wood and Dylan Crews to run the team, have arguably one of the strongest rotations in baseball, and the majority of it is made up of young, strong hurlers. Many of them are homegrown, like both Mitchell Parker and Cole Irvin.

4/23/25 Davis Martin's penchant for long starts big boost for Sox' pitching staff. Wednesday was the first time the White Sox had to cover left-hander Martin Perez's turn in the rotation. Perez, who had been a model of consistency with a 3.15 ERA in 20 innings, was put on the 60-day injured list Monday with soreness in his left forearm. Wilson began the season as a reliever but has 52 starts under his belt.

4/13/25 Fun-loving Martin Perez setting the tone for Sox' rotation. Martín Pérez's belief that big things are possible for the 2025 White Sox might put him in the minority. Pérez has a sub-2.00 ERA, even after giving up a couple runs Saturday against the Red Sox. “He's constantly talking to the pitchers,” pitching coach Ethan Katz said Sunday.
