Andrew McCutchen and Jared Triolo hit two-run home runs an inning apart to lift the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 5-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday night. Rockies center fielder Brenton Doyle spoiled the shutout with a ninth-inning home run. 8/11/25	SP McCutchens. In early 2018, Andrew McCutchen was traded along with some cash to the San Francisco Giants. Reynolds has probably been disappointing on the whole. In 2023, McCutchen returned to the team after a very brief foray with the NY Yankess later in 2018, a three year stint with the Phillies, and another year with thew Brewers. Back when there were two trade deadlines, McCutchen was sent on 31 August 2018 after 130 games, again with cash, for something or other in return. Andrew McCutchen added another great moment onto his Pittsburgh Pirates career as he hit a late home run in the 6-4 win over the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park. The Pirates make it three straight wins, taking the last two games vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks at PNC Park, July 26-27, and six wins in the past seven games, with a sweep of the Detroit Tigers at home, July 21-23. Pittsburgh improves to 45-62 overall and 14-37 on the road, while San Francisco drops to 54-53 overall and 28-24 at home. While his single in the bottom of the first inning against the Mets on June 28 didn't make any headlines, it helped McCutchen move up another leaderboard in Pirates' history. That single marked his 2,896 total base with the Pirates, moving him past Hall of Fame outfielder Lloyd Waner (1927-41) at 2,895 total bases for seventh spot in franchise history.
