The win snapped the Rays losing skid at four games and evened the three-game series at a game apiece. The Rays offense got started in the first inning when Brandon Lowe hit a solo homer. The Rays added two runs in the second, third and fourth to build a 7-1 lead. When the Cardinals answered with a single run in the first and four in the seventh to pull within 7-6, the Rays answered with two in the seventh and one in the eighth to earn the 10-6 win. (AP) — Brandon Lowe and Junior Caminero hit back-to-back home runs, and Ryan Pepiot went 6 1/3 innings as the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Athletics 7-4 on Monday night. The Rays got two runs in the second inning before adding single runs in the third and fourth to build a 4-0 lead. After the As got one back in the fifth, Brandon Lowe and Junior Caminero hit solo home runs on back-to-back pitches in the top of the seventh.
