8/23/25 Reds' Hottest Bat Dealing With Quad Injury. Miguel Andujar pinch-hit for Gavin Lux late in Friday's loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. He ripped a double down the right field line, but he didn't seem to be running full speed. After the game, Reds manager Terry Francona spoke to reporters and said Andujar is dealing with a quad injury. "His quad is bothering him," Francona said after Friday's game. "It's been a few days. From talking to him, I thought he was doing better. When he hit the ball to right, I thought he was just protecting it a little bit because he knew it was a double. Then, I was watching him score and it didn't look real good." Andujar has been arguably the Reds' best hitter since coming over from the Athletics at the trade

8/15/25 It’s time for the Cincinnati Reds to make a statement. The Cincinnati Reds are playing some pretty excellent baseball of late. 8/14/25 Cincinnati Reds Slugger Could Return to Former Team After the Season. The Athletics elected to deal one of their veteran bats before the Trade Deadline, Miguel Andujar, to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for minor league pitching prospect Kenya Huggins. The righty held a .422 batting average against left-handed pitching during his time this season with the A's. Clearly, the Reds saw his value, and now he's one of the premier bats in their lineup, batting cleanup the past five games. Following the A's making the trade, general manager David Forst told Andujar that there could possibly be room on the team for him next season. Tyler Soderstrom, Lawrence Butler, JJ Bleday, Brent Rooker, Denzel Clarke, Carlos Cortes, and Colby Thomas are all currently on the A's 40-man roster in the outfield.

8/02/25 Cincinnati Reds Announce Jersey Number for Recent Acquisition. The Cincinnati Reds traded their 22nd-ranked prospect Kenya Huggins for utility player Miguel Andujar from the Athletics on Thursday. Andujar is expected to join the team on Saturday and wear No. 38 with the Reds. The last five Reds to wear that number were Austin Wynns, Amed Rosario, Livan Soto, Mike Ford, and Michael Siani. The 30-year-old is slashing .298/.329/.436 with six home runs and 27 RBIs over 60 games with the A's this season.
